Description:
The project included a complete renovation of all interior floors, ceilings, electrical, mechanical, site utility re-locations, power loop replacement, 61,445 s.f. of new galleria style retail space, foodcourt remodel & new entrance, restroom remodels, new mall management space, Cheesecake Factory pad, Nordstrom pad, and new 17,000 s.f. connector building between the existing mall and new Nordstrom. All new site utility work was constructed without interrupting the mall water, gas, power, or phone lines. In order to comply with current code, acute attention to the weight of the new ceiling elements was paid so as not to overload the capacity of the existing structure, lightweight materials were used, saving millions in structural upgrade costs. All work was performed while keeping all mall tenants open and in full operation as well as while maintaining all mall emergency egress exits.
