Description:
The Galleria at Tyler Mall was an expansion of retail space, construction of a new AMC movie theater and seismic upgrade and addition to the existing Hughes Alley Parking Garage. A total of 203,900 square feet of retail space was added, including an 85,360 square foot AMC movie theater. The theater build out included complete construction of all interior theaters, audio and video equipment, concessions areas and a 16,450 square foot mezzanine for the projection equipment. Another 34,955 square feet of shell retail space was constructed beneath the theater. Parking structure work consisted of a 145,152 square foot 3rd level, 94,824 square foot 3-level addition, as well as numerous stairwells, escalator and elevator additions to increase functionality and seismic upgrade of the existing 2-level structure to meet current code. The entire project was constructed adjacent to a fully operational shopping mall.
