Description:

General Distributing Company hired Camco Construction, Inc. to perform full design/build services on their new Anheuser Busch distribution facility. Under tight time constraints aiming to open prior to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, construction started well before design completion. The facility includes a Controlled Environment Warehouse (CEW) constructed with insulated tilt panels capable of sustaining temperatures below 40 degrees, fully covered and temperature controlled drive-through load/unload area, new rail switch with rail into site and rail dock facilities at the CEW, truck maintenance shop including built-in paint booth, covered self-serve refueling stations, hydraulic truck lifts, truck lube pit, and automated truck wash bay. The facility also houses all executive, office and support staff personnel. The two-story office area is constructed of SMED International moveable wall systems over a raised computer floor allowing unlimited re-configuration options. Training and entertainment is conducted in the facility’s auditorium which has chilled beer-on-tap highlighting all of the beverages distributed by the company. All site cast concrete tilt panels were formed and erected by Camco crews.

Description:

Regis Corporation’s Salt Lake distribution center facilitates delivery of hair products to salons and Regis retail stores across the Western United States. The facility uses an automated “pick-to-light” product retrieval system comprised of forklift guide wires embedded in the slab on grade which allow forklifts to move throughout the high pile rack storage area of the facility without human operators, picking product from pre-determined storage locations. The floor to accommodate these high-speed forklifts was poured to F min 100 (Superflat) and comprises 116,000 square feet of the overall building. The roof structure in the building is a Butler Manufacturing pre-engineered metal roof system and structure. All site cast concrete tilt panels were formed and erected by Camco crews.
