A design/build delivery system allows the owner to have a sole source point of contact for management all design and construction tasks. When selecting Camco for this type of project delivery, we will hire a qualified and capable architect with whom we’ve worked successfully in the past to provide design for the project. This type of delivery system allows us to provide budgets based on schematic design documents, very early in the project. It also allows us to steer the design to meet the project budget rather than allowing design to be completed first, only to learn that it creates a budget deficit and requires re-design to take place.

A project schedule inclusive of design, review, permit, subcontractor bidding, and ultimately construction phases, is drafted right out of the gate. The design-builder then becomes responsible to keep the project within the owner’s design, budget and schedule constraints. If the project budget is exceeded during the design process this allows the design/build team time to modify the design to bring the project back within budget, without losing critical time on the overall schedule.
