Description:

Thanksgiving Park #1 is a 5-story class “A” office building with a LEED Silver Certification. It is the first speculative core and shell office building with a LEED certification in the state of Utah. Camco was selected early in the design phase and provided design assistance and value engineering feedback which resulted in a change of the building structure’s design from steel moment frames to a combination of concrete shear walls and steel moment frames. This change eliminated heavy steel columns which could only be procured overseas and would have resulted in a project delay. The building now features cast-in-place concrete shear walls over 70 feet in height. The exterior is clad with a state of the art EIFS system designed to give the building a granite tile look along with extensive curtain wall window systems on all elevations of the building. The project also features a back-up generation system capable of running the entire building if power is lost.
